Road Signs

It is not easy to reach the Kingdom of the Father. Everyone has that desire to make it his final destination, where all sorrow is gone, all bitterness forgotten, all doubts erased, all the heartaches turned to submission and acceptance, all hate turned to love. No matter as to who we are and what we are, no matter what our Creed is, eternal life with the Father is everyone’s objective.

I never believe in people who say that they do not believe in God. It is merely are exhibition of pride and a borrowed expression of philosophy. This is usually uttered by some philosophers who are in the peak of health but who change their tune when they feel that the final hour is near.

The journey to our Father’s Home however, is long and dangerous. There pitfalls on the road itself, or by the edges. Chasms exist in unexpected places. They are there to obstruct or to create confusion. However, there are road signs which are found in strategic places, and all we need is faith, faith in the Father’s love and mercy in order to see them. This is where we need the strong Hand of the Father; the Heart of Jesus of Divine Mercy; the unfaltering brilliance of the light of the Holy Spirit; and the motherly care of Mama Mary to give us self-confidence and courage.

These are some of the signs:

1) Force is a wrong weapon. Prayer is the sharpest.
2) 2) Human strength alone is no much for the interceptions. Divine Will is the best.
3) Do something. Use your eyes, your hands, your feet, move and live. Stay indifferent and perish.
4) Move fast; or sink in the mud of destructive values.
5) Listen to the bugle. Wake up from your lethargy. It’s time to move – now!
6) Leave your Godless ways. Dwell under the canopy of God’s love. Believe. Practice, and live!

Let this be an imposed task on each of us:
Wipe the dirt of sin as we meditate during this Lenten season. Paint a picture of peace, harmony, decency and love, on the canvas of your heart and feel the joy of transfiguration as the Light of God’s blessing penetrate your veins.
